Easy Zero-Waste Tortilla Chips

Do you have tortillas that you are not going to use in your fridge? Homemade tortilla chips are a simple solution to cut down on your at home food waste footprint.

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 Package small corn tortillas

2 tbsp. Sunflower oil (or canola)

1-2 tsp. Salt (flakey salt is best)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut each tortilla into six even pieces. Lay half of them on a baking sheet. Use a brush to coat each tortilla with sunflower oil. Add 1 tsp. of salt. Lay down the other half of the tortilla chips. It is okay if they are on top of each other if they have oil on them. Use a brush to coat each tortilla with sunflower oil. Add 1 tsp. of salt. Bake for 20 minutes or until crunchy.

Serving Size: 4-6
