Ingredients:
1/3 c. Vegan butter (sustainably sourced or palm oil free) (or regular butter)
3 tbsp. Fresh sage (chopped)
1 tbsp. Fresh oregano (chopped)
2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Black pepper
1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes (optional)
Method:
1) Melt the vegan butter in a sauté pan on medium heat (2-3 minutes).
2) Add the freshly chopped sage (3 tbsp) and oregano (1 tbsp). Sauté the herbs in the butter for 3-5 minutes. They should get slightly crispy.
3) Add 2 tsp. of salt, 1 tsp. of pepper, and option to add 1/2 tsp. of red pepper flakes for an extra kick. Stir the seasoning into the sauce and turn off the heat.
4) Use the sauce on Homemade Russet Gnocchi, Butter and Sage Ravioli, or store bought pasta.
